At IDFA, I completed a four-month internship as a Producer Assistant for the Talent Development team. During this period, I helped organise several of IDFA’s professional development trajectories, including IDFAcademy, the Student Route, and the IDFA Project Space NL.
I gained experience working with online platforms such as Monday, Excel, and Fiona. Throughout the festival, I watched many films and moderated multiple Q&A sessions, sometimes also working as an interpreter. Some of the films I worked on included Action Point, The Trailers, and Twins of Gaza.
Director Assistant Close your eyes Hind by Amir Zaza
On Close Your Eyes, Hind (dir. Amir Zaza), I worked as a Director’s Assistant on set. My responsibilities included rehearsing scenes with the child actors to support their performances, assisting in preparation and continuity, and closely monitoring narrative and visual consistency throughout production.
The film tells the story of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old girl who survives a tank attack in Gaza that kills her relatives. Trapped in a destroyed car with her niece and surrounded by tanks, Hind waits for help. Emergency services attempt to reach her, but their access depends on permission from the army. The film received the Golden Calf Award.
NPO Zapp
Director Assistant
And Child supervisor
At NPO Zapp, I worked on set for three weeks as a director assistant, focusing on the performance direction of the children and actors, while also handling continuity. The series Slapeloze Nachten has been available on Zapp’s YouTube channel since October 2025. It is a series about young people confronted with the dangers of their online lives and digital dependence.

Cinekid
Film Festival Selection Committee
March June 2023
At Cinekid, I worked on the Selection Committee, where I watched numerous films and held meetings with industry professionals to decide which films would be selected for the 2023 film festival, together with Hidde de Vries and Chloë van Baar.
The Netherlands Film Academy
At the Film Academy, I completed the year-long track part time “What Is Your Story?”, where I received personal guidance from Thom Lunshof in writing a script. I also took classes from various industry professionals on how to build a story during the pre-production phase of filmmaking.
Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam — Events Manager
September 2020 – September 2021
I worked for a year on the events team at Moviezone in the Eye Filmmuseum, where I contributed to the planning and execution of events for film enthusiasts and filmmakers.
MovieZone is the youth platform of the Eye Filmmuseum and aims to be a place where young people from diverse backgrounds have the space to develop their own initiatives with coaching.
